When several people share a fleet, manually deciding who takes which vehicle takes time and always ends up creating oversights or unfairness. Flotalyo automates that decision through rules you set up once, which then apply on their own to every booking.
Exclude or reserve certain vehicles
Two permanent exclusion rules: "Forbidden vehicle" permanently removes a vehicle from automatic selection, useful for one awaiting decommission without setting it to Out of service. "Reserved vehicle" does the opposite — dedicating a van to a single team or specific users, with everyone else automatically excluded.
Fuel by distance
Favors a fuel type based on the estimated distance entered at booking time (electric below a threshold, diesel beyond it, for example). If the targeted fuel type doesn't exist in the fleet, Flotalyo automatically falls back to the best available match instead of ignoring the rule.
Category by job profile
Each job profile (sales, technician, management...) can be restricted to certain vehicle categories. A sales profile limited to city cars and sedans will never automatically receive a van, even if it's the only vehicle free for that slot.
Mileage balancing and last use
Two rules to spread wear across vehicles instead of always using the same ones: one favors the vehicle that has driven the least (either since ever or for the current month), the other the one that hasn't been used the longest.

What happens if no vehicle matches the rules that were set?+
If exclusion rules rule out every vehicle available for the requested slot, the booking fails with a message suggesting another time — rather than assigning a vehicle that doesn't respect the company's rules.
How are rules ranked against each other?+
In the order chosen by the manager, changeable at any time with up/down arrows. Exclusion rules always apply first, then preference rules in the order they're listed.
Do all rules need to be set up to use Flotalyo?+
